The Century L100

The Century L100 consumer system and the professional 4310/4311 models were acoustically identical. The L100 was available in a number of grille colors with an oiled walnut enclosure finish. The reticulated foam grille became a famous JBL statement in the early 1970s and spawned many imitators. During its lifetime the L100 became JBL’s best selling bookshelf system and set industry records as well. A typical studio scene shows the 4311 in use on the meter bridge of a console, and the group shot, front to back, shows the models 4311, L100A, L100, and 4310.
